Stretch your arms
You feel the pins and needles rush away
You long for the dream you had just then
You attempt to have it once more
attempt failed
Walking on cold tile, your feet seek warmth
grab a box of cheerios
and head to the couch
You pull a blanket to your ears
this is what snug is
The sleepless soul inside
closes your eyes
The dream replays
this time a somber ending
the dream ends and a new one begins
Note-
I recently discovered this poem that I wrote in 2008, I made a few edits.
